OVERVIEW

The Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections' (ADJC) Victims' Rights Unit exists to serve the victims of juveniles that are under our jurisdiction. ADJC believes in the philosophy of restorative justice. The goal of restorative justice is to repair the harm that has been done to the victim, the community, and the juvenile as a result of the crime.

MISSION

To preserve victims' rights, enhance juvenile accountability and promote safer communities.

VISION

To promote a victim-centered response to crime.

We did not ask to be victims, but not having the choice...
in memory of our daughter, we decided to be involved to ensure that the
harm we experienced was not forgotten. We encourage others to do the same.
